This is a magazine spread that was done for an assignment. This Particular assignment, was a mentorship layout, meaning I based the design off of the work of a designer. In this case, the designer that I based my layout on was Marc English. In the provided .pdf below, the first page is an example of Marc English's own layout, followed by my own.
The Baskerville Type Specimen Book was a project that I completed for a typography class. We were to pick a font of our choice and design a specimen book in a way that is relevant to the typeface. I chose the font Baskerville so I designed in the simple and classic style of something that would be seen in the 'Baskerville era'.
This selection of business cards is from another typography assignment in which we had to utilise four of the 'Typographic Systems'. In this case I used axial, radial, grid system, and transitional.
This was actually a photography assignment. We had to pick a product, photograph it, and make an ad out of the picture. The product I had chose was the Converse All-Star shoe.
This is a project that I did in school. The project was called "Things I Have Learned in My Life So Far". This idea is one developed by well known designer Stefan Sagmeister. The 'lesson' that I used was "pictures make the moment last". I used the idea of using a picture in a picture to convey this message. Then, with each image, I tried to make the image match the word it is portraying.
